Al-Bara`a:

It is the art of Youth joy in Dhofar Governorate. It is performed by two persons each is carrying his dagger in the right hand and dance while moving here and there. They advance, go back, turn in a complete circle and then kneel down in front of the musical group which is singing. The musical instruments used in this art include the pipe, drums and tambourine. Most of the Bara`a songs are about flirtation.
