The Forum’s Activities in 1990

1. A ceremony held under the auspices of H.E. Hammad bin Hamad Al-Ghabri, Secretary General of Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) to honor the winning contestants in the Forum’s 1990 contest.

2. A ceremony held on March 26, 1990 under the auspices of H.E. Jumaa bin Hamad Al-Nasri on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Omani poet Al-Lawah Al-Kharousi

3. A Ramadan Poetic Evening held on April 9, 1990

4. A Literary Session on the arts of hand writing held on April 21, 1990

5. A Literary session on Omani Literature held on May 28, 1990

6. A Literary Session on the European Renaissance and its effect on the Arabian renaissance held on June 11, 1990

7. A Literary Session on the Omani poet Nasir bin Salim Al-Rawahy held on July 30, 1990

8. A Literary Session on the Omani poet Suleiman bin Suleiman Al-Nabhani held on September 19, 1990

9. A Literary Evening on Omani Literary arts and their links with the country’s national heritage held on October 1, 1990

10. A Poetic Evening held under the auspices of H.H. Sayyid Faisal bin Ali bin Faisal Al-Said, the Minister of National Heritage and Culture on November 5, 1990 on the second annual anniversary of the Forum. Notables from Qatar and Saudi Arabia participated in the evening beside their Omani counterparts

11. A Ceremony held on 19 and 20 December, 1990 under the auspices of H.E. Yahiya bin Mahfoudh Al-Mundhiri, Minister of Education to honor H.E. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali Al-Khalili. Notable writers from Egypt, Jordan and Kuwait participated in the ceremony beside their Omani counterparts
