The Forum’s Activities in 1991

  1. A Ceremony held on March 1, 1991 under the auspices of H.E. Salim bin Mohammed Al-Ghailani, the Forum’s President, to honor the winning contestants in the Forum’s 1990 contest

  2. A seminar on the historical bilateral relations of Oman and Egypt held on 2-4 March, 1991 under the auspices of H.E. Sayyid Sultan bin Hamad, Muscat Governor. A number of specialists from Oman and Egypt participated in the seminar presenting researches and studies on the seminars’

  3. A literary lecture on the verification of Arabian Marine Manuscripts delivered by the Yemeni scholar Hassan Saleh Shihab on March 6, 1991

  4. A ceremony held on March 25, 1991 under the auspices of H.E. Yahiya bin Mahfoudh Al-Mundhiri, Minister of Education to honor Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Aziz Al-Khasaibi

  5. A Ramadan poetic evening held on April 2, 1991

  6. A seminar on Omani story writing with a historic view held on 8 to 10 June, 1991 under the auspices of H.E. Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal, the Council of Ministers’ Secretary General. Notable scholars from Egypt, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and Qatar participated in the seminar.

  7. A cultural lecture on Transport through history delivered on September 14, 1991 by H.E. Yousef Al-Shirzawy, the Bahraini Minister of Development under the auspices of H.E. Mohammed bin Moosa Al-Yousuf, Minister of Development.

  8. A cultural lecture on the explorer Wilfred Thesiger and his journey to Oman delivered by the British Ambassador to Oman on September 24, 1991 under the auspices of H.E. Maal Allah bin Ali bin Habib, the Advisor to the Minister of National Heritage and Culture.

  9. A ceremony in remembrance of the late Abdullah Al-Tai held on 28 and 29 October, 1991

  10. A ceremony held under the auspices of H.E. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Qatabi, President of A’Shuraa Council to honor the winning contestants in the Forum’s 1991 contest.
