Omani Cultural days in Sudan to observe Khartoum as a
capital of Arab culture (2-8-April 2005)
The Omani Cultural days were opened at the Friendship hall,
Khartoum on 2/4/2005 in the presence of the Sultanate’s
ambassador to Sudan, other ambassadors, Sudanese officials,
those concerned and Omani students in Khartoum.

Activities held during those days:
-
A book fair which shed light on the Sultanate` cultural and
literary produce.

A fine arts exhibition which included more than 40 paintings
and a workshop between Omani artist and their Sudanese
counterparts which resulted in a miniature fair.

Screening documentaries and CD. About the Sultanate.
Cultural Week In Morroco
The Sultanate participated in the celebrations marking Rabat
as a capital of Arab culture for 2003.

This participation came in the shape of:
-
An exhibition of handicrafts which included produce of
pottery, textiles and fronds.
-
An exhibition of fine arts which include around 45 paintings
prepared by Omani artists.
-
A book fair.
-
Lectures and poetry evenings in which a number of Omani
poets and men of letters took part.
-
A fine arts exhibition which included more than 40 paintings
and a workshop between Omani artist and their Sudanese
counterparts which resulted in a miniature fair.
Cultural days in Jordan from 4 to 7/2002
Omani cultural days were held in Jordan to observe Amman as
a capital of Arab culture for 2002. They were opened by
Jordanian Culture Minister, Hadyer Mahmoud. Present at the
opening ceremony were the Sultanate’s ambassador in Jordan
and a number of Jordanian officials.

Activities of those days which covered various Governorates
in Jordan included a fine arts exhibition, lectures which
shed light on Oman’s historical position, poetry evenings
and folklore shows.
