Omani Song Festival

The ministry of heritage and culture organizes the Omani song festival every two years at the directives of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, to encourage Omani singers and instill the competition spirit in them in order to develop the Omani song.

The ministry has always been keen to reinforce this activity and continuously develop it.

• The first Omani song festival was held on December 10th 1994

• The second Omani song festival was held on October 1st 1995

• The third Omani song festival was held on March 1st 1997

• The fourth Omani song festival was held on March 15th 1999

• The fifth Omani song festival was held on May 26th 2001

• The sixth Omani song festival was held on September 20th 2003
