Nizwa Site:

In 1985, the excavation and archeological studies department at the ministry received some archeological findings whose source was Muharib cemetery in Nizwa. More findings were collected following that excavation and investigation operation carried out at the site by the department specialists. The cemetery is located to the east of Nizwa on the top of lime mountain (al-Hora mountain).

The findings of the cemetery included bronze axe, arrow heads, bracelets, rings, utensils made of soft soap stone, a stone stamp and a razor blade which gave proof about the identity of the buried.

It could be said that the weapons buried with the Muharib were different from others in term of the social level. He might have been a chief of a tribe which resided there during the mid of the 2000 BC.
