These include the following:

1. National Work Camps
   The department organizes annual national work camps in the different regions of the country. Participants are made aware of the importance of group work and are acquainted with concepts such as leadership, self dependency and initiation. The annual camps host up to 1000 participants each year.

2. Public Games Festival
   These are annually organized in line with the Ministry’s attempts to preserve pubic games. Contests are organized in the different regions of the Sultanate where the participants from different age groups participate.

3. Chess Contest
   This being a mind stimulating game, the Ministry remains keen to organize national level annual chess contests.

4. Youth Summer Centers
   These centers focus on youth activities during holiday seasons in summer. The activities include social, cultural, artistic, sports and recreational activities.

5. Travelers
   The department is also concerned with receiving foreign travelers from all over the world and preparing site seeing programs to historical and tourist sites in coordination with their sponsors.
